Appointments update and pics

On Monday, November 1, I had my 36 week appointment. We went over my birthplan with my doctor and did the GBS test. We’ll get the results at our next appointment. My finger was also pricked for anemia again (third and last time), which I passed again so everything looks good there. From now on, I’m on to weekly appointments and my next appointment is on Tuesday, November 9th.

We met with our pediatrician on Tuesday, the 2nd, and we really like her. She’s actually affiliated with Baptist Downtown (well, the whole office is), where I am delivering at. This means a doctor from their office does rounds every day at the hospital, so our baby will be seen at least two times by our pediatrician before she is discharged. Another thing we liked about that office is that there are five total pediatricians there and they are open every weekend also for appointments (Saturday and Sunday)! Plus, there is always someone on call at night for emergencies.

Also on Tuesday, we went to our appointment to get the car seat installation checked in our new vehicle. Since I went by myself with the other car, I was happy Dan could go with me this time so he could see how to install the seat correctly.

It’s still really hard to believe that there is only a month or so left! I know my due date is two days after Thanksgiving but I have this feeling she is going to be late, probably because I’ve had no problems or even BH contractions yet, or if I did, they were very mild. It would be nice if she came a week early so Dan’s family could meet her when they’re here for Thanksgiving but I guess she’ll come when she’s ready.  :)

The first picture was taken on Nov 1- 36 weeks, 2 days. The second picture I wasn’t going to post but Dan said I should because it showed just how big my stomach has gotten without hiding behind my shirt. It was taken a little over a week ago on October 26- 35 weeks, 3 days. Oddly enough, I don’t feel that big until I see myself in a picture!!
