Ashlan has had a few good days of long naps and sleeping in. Last Tues she took two naps of around an hour and 20 min and also on Wed too! It was just awesome! She is mainly taking two naps a day now, though they’re not always that long, and since she is getting up later, she goes to bed a little later too. Yesterday she got up at 6:30am and today she got up at 7am! That is unheard of for her. Needless to say, we were very happy to have a little more rest! She actually slept through the fire alarm that Dan set off from grilling chicken the other day so we know she isn’t that light of a sleeper anymore (thank God!).
So she started eating crackers and more hard foods. Even with no teeth, she is doing great chewing everything up. She has crackers and graham crackers whole now and is able to eat them just fine. She does have certain preferences though. For instance, I put cut up chicken, broccoli, and cheese chunks on her plate. She ate all the cheese first, then moved to broccoli, and then to chicken. She will frequently eat more broccoli than chicken, so she’s a little more like Mommy there. :)
Her doctor appt for 9 months was on Thursday. She is in the 75th percentile for both height and weight at 28 inches and 20 lbs 5.9 oz. Her head was 17 in around, which was in the 50th percentile. They told us they can do a prediction now on whether they’ll likely be tall or short and said she will definitely not be short. She is getting too big too fast! :(
