30 week appointment and shopping!

So I passed my gestational diabetes test! I figured once they hadn’t called me on Monday that I was in the clear but was still worried until we discussed it with the doctor on Wednesday who said I passed with flying colors. Because of an emergency c-section, we had to wait for this doctor (a new one we hadn’t met yet) for 1 ½ hours, so that wasn’t fun. There are only four doctors in this practice and any one could deliver our baby so we wanted to meet her once before the time came in case she was on duty. Everything was normal with this visit and the next time they see me is October 4 (at 32 weeks) for our last ultrasound unless there are complications. Hopefully then they can verify it’s a girl because we have already bought so many little girl things! And then at 36 weeks we start to go every week to be seen.

We went shopping yesterday and bought the mattress, so her room is completely ready now! We also bought other things pictured below (waterproof crib mattress pad, another boppy pillow cover, socks, crib sheets, burp cloths, little washcloths with a star toy, blanket sleepers, swaddlemes, a changing pad cover, and our first pack of diapers (we’re using seventh generation disposables until we get used to cloth diapers since we plan on exclusively using cloth eventually). Still need a few more things but if she came early we’d be ready for her! [Sorry for things still being in packages in the photos. I would take them out and wash them but if she's not a girl, we'll be returning them! That's why I want another ultrasound to confirm! :) ]
